The Team
The ACT team delivers all the functions necessary to create a photovoltaic system, the acquisition of land on which to build the plant, the design, the procurement of key components, construction management, customer ‘hand over’ and after sales service.
The physical installation of a photovoltaic system is sub contracted to specialist electrical engineers systems at local or national level, depending on the location and size of each individual project

Mr. Nigel Cole-Hawkins

Present
- Nigel is currently a director & shareholder of a number of U.K. property companies and is also an Investor in an established Internet based H.R. and payroll company called Applic 8.
- He is also active as ‘angel financier’. Having made a number of investments in I.T. and technology “start ups” both in England and Switzerland.
- Nigel is a member of the London Business School Enterprise 100.
- Nigel is also very entrepreneurial, I.T. literate and qualified in CAD
Past
- During 2000, Nigel researched into emerging real estate opportunities in the major European markets, this revealed Italy as having the most potential.
- Next, in conjunction with an existing Italian business colleague they made an in depth study of the Italian market which identified significant prospects.
- This culminated in 2002 with the incorporation of A.C.T. Properties S.r.l., as a vehicle to exploit these opportunities.
- Starting during the last U.K property recession the early 90’s Nigel concentrated his efforts in the U.K. property market, specialising in obtaining planning permissions for the ‘change of use’ of brown field development sites.
- In 1992, Nigel entered the property business, starting with two other partners, one a surveyor and the other an architect, they incorporated Wingold Ltd.In 1992, Commonside Plc. launched a closed circulation trade magazine called ‘European Computer Market Place’.
- After only 18 months of publication, the title was successfully sold to United Newspapers Plc.
- In 1985, Nigel started Commonside Plc. Initially, the primary activity of this company was in the field of electronics and I.T.

Mr. Giuliano Sughi

Present
- For the last five years has been mainly active in the designing and construction supervision of photovoltaic plants.
- Has developed more than 40 plants of different sizes, powers and technologies.
Past
- Has been professionally involved in designing and testing electrical plants with a special focus on power generators and power distribution plants for industrial purposes.
- Has been, from 1983 to 1987, consultant to the Emilia Romagna Region in the field of job safety. (Dipartimento Sicurezza Sociale – Servizio Sicurezza e Medicina Preventiva del Lavoro)
- Has been, until December 2002, responsible for the department of plants safety of USL (NHS) in Forlì.
- Has been, from March 1974 until August 1982, Director of the office in charge of health and safety at work in Forlì.
- Has been a member of the professional body of charted engineers of Forli and Cesena since 1972.
- Graduated in electronic engineering at Bologna University in 1972.
